Press photographer, Ed Keffel spotted what he thought was an airplane. He noticed that it was flying in a manner contradictory to our modern aircraft. To his amazement, it was a flying disk and completely unexplainable. Joao Martins who was also present, and the first to spot this unusual object, shouted to Keffel "shoot"! Keffel got his camera and took five photographs of the event.

This case has not yet been ruled out as a hoax but a photographic analyst pointed out a possible lighting flaw in the series of

unable to recreate the photos to any degree by using a model and throwing it into the air. One point of credibility for the pictures is the fact that the negatives were immediately turned over to a lieutenant colonel after being developed. This is not common practice for a hoaxer.
